  • The Law School Held Legal Film Exhibition, as a Part of the “Sound of Spring

An exhibition of legal film, as a part of the “Sound of Spring " cultural festival of the law school, opened on March 21. This exhibition is sponsored by the students' union of law school, in order to let more classmates understand and experience the spirit and intension of the law through showing film amusement of legal subject matter.

One film shown on the 21st of March was The Philadelphia Story which is a 1940 romantic comedy film starring Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn, and James Stewart, and directed by George Cukor. In 1995, The Philadelphia Story film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry.

The other shown was Runaway Jury directed by Gary Fleder, with John Cusack, Gene Hackman, Dustin Hoffman. It’s about a juror on the inside and a woman on the outside manipulates a court trial involving a major gun manufacturer. (Source: XJTU News, translated by LAO Zhijian)
